These National Championships will be hosted by Lonedog in Albury and are the final qualifier for the Australian National Team representing at the 2018 IUKL World Championships later this year in Latvia.

2018 GSAA QLD State Kettlebell Championships

Competitions

Queensland is home to some of the country’s most talented lifters with a great proportion of the Australian National Kettlebell Team of the last 4 years residing from the Sunshine State. The GSAA Qld State Championship will be a qualifying pathway for the 2018 IUKL World Championship bringing together a high standard of lifting for this tremendous competition once again. Onward Fitness Calbooture has continued its contribution to the growth of GS in Queensland and will be a fantastic venue to host this event for experienced lifters, amateurs, juniors and everyone new to Kettlebell Sport.

Requirements to be part of the Australian National Team selection (Traditional):

Amateur and Veteran Qualification:
Athletes require a Rank 1 (IUKL Ranking Table) or above at a 2018 GSAA State Championship in their lift.
Athletes must also compete at the 2018 GSAA National Championship.

Professional Division Qualification:
Athletes require a Rank 1 (IUKL Ranking Table) or above at any 2018 GSAA Event to be eligible for Professional entry at the 2018 GSAA National Championship.
The winner of each Professional weight class and lift at 2018 GSAA National Championships will qualify for Professional representation of 2018 IUKL World Championships.
Lifts.
Men – Biathlon or Long Cycle.
Women – Snatch or Long Cycle*
*IKSFA ranking table will be used for qualification of Women’s Long Cycle

Rock Hard Training will be hosting the 2018 GSAA Victorian State Championships straight after the Ultimate Girevik Cup (Stage 2) this year.

Requirements to be part of the Australian National Team selection (Traditional):

Amateur and Veteran Qualification:

This is stage 2 of Ultimate Girevik Cup (UGC), IKMF Kettlebell Half Marathon League. 30 minute events with multiple hand changes. This event is a step for qualification for the Australian National Kettlebell Marathon Team.

Requirements to be part of the Australian National Team selection:

  • Participate in the 3 stages of the UGC throughout 2018.
  • Remote video submissions are permitted for qualification and required by the 28th April 2018.
  • Have certified minimum rank of CMS validated by a certified judge for the Elite division.
  • The inclusion of athletes in amateur category will require a minimum of Rank 1 and be subject to the technical proficiency of the participant and the decision of the IKMF country representative.
  • The athletes of the National team must be financial members of GSAA.

2018 Tasmanian State Kettlebell Championships

GSAA returns to ArtGym in Hobart for the 2018 Tasmanian State Championships. This event is a qualifier for the Australian National Kettlebell Team competing at the 2018 IUKL World Championship in Latvia in October. This event is open to all athletes at all levels in an array of events to select from. We look forward to lifting along side the Hobart Kettlebell Society with all the Professional, Amateur and first time Lifters.

Bellistic CrossFit Griffith is the home of the 2018 GSAA NSW State Championships.

This event is a Qualifier for the Australian Kettlebell Sport Team for the IUKL World Championships in Latvia while also being an open competition for athletes at every level. Professional Lifters can qualify for Nationals eligibility with a Rank 1 (IUKL) score of their selected lift. Amateurs can qualify for the Australian Team with a Rank 1 (IUKL) score of their selected lift.
