The first Kettlebell Sport Competition in Melbourne for 2019 will take place at The Richmond Gym on Saturday February 16th. From 2018 GSAA raised the standards for achieving an Australian Record in Traditional 10 minute Girevoy Sport Lifting. On January 26th, athletes are competing to be the best all-round Kettlebell Sport athlete in Western Australia. Surge Fitness Perth CBD will host this unique event that will put Long Cycle vs. Snatch, women vs. men, juniors vs. veterans, one bell vs. two bells on a level playing field to uncover who is pound for pound the most talented lifter on the day! The Girevoy Sport Australia Association (GSAA) is pleased to announce it has developed a new ranking table, which will be known as the GSAA Ranking table. This table will replace the IUKL/IKSFA tables as the primary sorting tool for competitors at all GSAA competitions in Australia going forward. This update will eliminate confusion created by the use of multiple tables by the GSAA. The new table is easier to read and shows the rankings for men and women on the same page, rather than on separate tables, which is quicker and easier for both coaches and athletes to reference. It also allows for both genders to have rankings for single and double bells giving the GSAA community "equal opportunity". This is stage 3 of Ultimate Girevik Cup (UGC), IKMF Kettlebell Half Marathon League. 30 minute events with multiple hand changes. This event is a step for qualification for the Australian National Kettlebell Marathon Team. Requirements to be part of the Australian National Team selection: Participate in the 3 stages of the UGC throughout 2018. Remote video submissions are permitted for qualification and required by the 27th September 2018. Have certified minimum rank of CMS validated by a certified judge for the Elite division.
